Fish fry:


Marinate Ingredients

  1. Fish, I have used Salmon, but can be done with any of your favourite flesh fish
  2. 1 1/2 tea spoon turmeric
  3. 1 tablespoon shredded coconut
  4. 2 teaspoon dania powder or curry powder
  5. Curry patta or curry leaves 6 to 10 leaves
  6. salt as per taste
  7. 1 tablespoon all purposee flour or maida
  8. 3 tablespoon oil
  9. 2 chilies or as per taste
  10. 1/2 teaspoon red chilly powder
  11.  1 tea spoon ginger paste 
Frying Ingredients
  1. I tablespoon oil
  2. 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
Instructions
  • Grind the coconut. curry leaves, chilies and ginger together.
  • Pour them in a bowl and add the above ingredients along with the oil.
  • Keep it for 20 mins.
  • In a pan add the mustard seeds, let them pop and then put the marinated fish slices cook them on both the sides till tender and cooked and white.
Simple Lentil

Ingredients:

  1. Half cup yellow moong dal  
  2. 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  3. 2 tomatoes chopped
  4. Salt as per taste
  5. 1 teaspoon turmeric
  6. Some cilantro 
  7. 1 tablespoon oil


Instructions:
  • Soak the moong dal for 10 to 15 mins.
  • Put the oil in the pressure cooker and add the cumin seeds
  • When it is cooked a bit before it burns add the chopped tomatoes
  • Add the turmeric and salt
  • Add the dal and close the lid
  • After 3 whistles switch off the gas
  • Later add cilantro as a herb and also for garnish 


Enjoy ypur main course with plain white salted rice and chapattis or naan.
Guava Punch

Ingredients

  • Guava juice
  • 2 Lemon
  • Vodka (optional)
Instructions
Add some ice in the shaker and then add Guava juice. Squeeze a lemon in it. Add a shot of Vodka if you like, Shake it well and pour it in your glass and enjoy.

Gajar ka Halwa ( Carrot halwa)

Ingredients
  1. Red shredded carrots 2 kilos ( around 4.5 pounds)
  2. 1 1/2 liter 2 % or whole milk (
  3. 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  4. Handful of almonds
  5. Sugar 1/4 kilo or as per taste.
  6. 3 tablespoon ghee
Instructions
  • Soak the poppy seeds in a bowl and keep it aside for 20 to 30 mins
  • Add Ghee in a pan and add the shredded carrots to cook it.
  • Once it reaches half pour in the milk.
  • Add in the poppy seeds (Khas Khas)
  • Keep cooking it in medium to low flame.
  • Crush the almonds in tiny pieces and add it to the boil
  • Keep stirring it from time to time, till the milk and carrots gets fully boiled and cooked. 
  • Optional to add chopped dry dates.
