A Visit to the Local Farmers Market

This morning, after a few good yoga stretches I decided to visit the local farmers market in Malleshwaram (Bangalore). The morning was just perfect not too sunny with a slight fresh morning breeze that wakes you up.  Entering the market I was delighted to see all the colourful flowers in abundace and I picked some daisies and carnations for home. Bargaining did not work but the flowers were worth it.

Carnations in a Bowl:
Carnations are the perfect summer house gift. It is so elegant, delicate and still durable. It stays fresh for a long time, comes in a variety of hues. They look great in massive. You can keep them tall or in a small bowl like I did. Cut them short and either arrange them, keeping the stems crisscross or insert them in a presoaked floral  foam, packing the heads tightly together.

Daisies standing tall:
Always inexpensive and charming, daisies are among the most impressive tall flowers available. This strong, tall and graphic bloom comes in shades of yellow, white, red and orange.
I have kept them tall with a little twist to showcase the beauty of both the florets and the stems.
