Instructions:
- Fold the fabric in half and have a newspaper template of a pouch pined with the bottom on the fold. Cut the fabric such that it opens with no cut in the middle.
- Baste\hand stitch the top edge and if you want a ribbon border sew it on the correct side of the fabric, leaving 1 inch from the edge.
- Machine stitch the top on both the sides to make a casing.
- Now Machine stitch the whole pouch on the basting for the ribbon that you sewed for the piping with the right sides sandwiched inside and join both the sides to make a pouch.
- Once done, reverse the pouch to be right side.
- Using a safety pin insert a ribbon in the casing of one side and circle it on the other end and get it out .
- Do the same on the other side too.
- Pull the ribbons to see that they pull to tighten the pouch. Attach pearls or and hangings you like on the ends
